IICD uses many questionnaires in several languages, to ask feedback on activities in their programmes. They work together with partner organisations in several countries in Africa and Latin America, and each needs to have appropriate access to the information.

IDRC and Microsoft are together setting up telecentre.org, an ambitious support programme for telecenters worldwide. As they are in the early phases of developing this, the programme team wrote a draft vision document, and wanted to ask feedback from around 250 contacts they had worldwide.

We provided feedback and advice on the questionnaire they developed, and made it available in three languages in our WebEnq tool. We sent out email invitations to the contact list. Also, we adviced on two later reminder messages, to help reach the targeted number of respondents.

During the project, and in processing the results, we helped with both statistical and strategical analyses, to complement and strengthen IDRC's own activities.

The mandate of the COS centers is to support organisations and initiatives in their region, who are in working on "international cooperation". To better understand the situation and needs of these organisations, several COS centers undertook a region-wide survey, resulting in a database of organisations with their activities, target countries, and fields of interest.

Starting together with COS Gelderland, we implemented their idea to develop a "Gelderse World Atlas" to allow web visitors to find organisations in their village or town, based on several possible criteria. Also, contact persons for these organisations are stimulated to update their information, and new organisations are registering themselves. It offers COS Gelderland a new way to communicate with their target groups, stimulate possible cooperation, and show the wealth and diversity of activities in the province.

The Gelderse Wereldatlas is online since July 2005, and in December 2005 we launched the Friese Wereld Atlas and the Wereldatlas Zuid-Holland Zuid.  more >>
